Operations

The Operations Division is the largest Division in the Montrose Fire Protection District.  Operations is responsible for fire suppression, emergency medical and rescue services, and mitigation of disasters or other emergencies.  Also included in this Division is Training and specialized Rope Rescue, Hazardous Materials,  and Ice Rescue Teams.

In addition to emergency responses operations personnel provide a wide variety of services to the citizens of the community they serve.  These services include:  business and multi-residential fire and life safety inspections, tours of fire stations and apparatus, and fire and life safety programs for schools and community groups.

Operations Division Objectives

TO            Effectively Respond to Solve Problems at Emergency Incidents.

            TO            Minimize the Losses Due to Fires and Other Emergencies.

            TO            Maintain Up-To-Date and Approved Safety Equipment and Procedures.

            TO            Maintain Up-To-Date and Approved EMS Equipment, Utilizing the State-Of-                            The-Art Technology. 

TO            Maintain State, Local and Department Certifications for all Personnel.
